No matter what your specific research interests are, we all have an obligation to attempt to direct our research towards the conservation of the natural world. Or as Sir David Attenborough put it, “It is surely our responsibility to do everything within our power to create a planet that provides a home not just for us, but for all life on Earth.”

I am a firm believer in that it is important to remember where your humble beginnings. To that end, I encourage undergraduates who are new to science but want to get their foot in the door to contact me and perhaps we can work together. I am always open to collaboration as I believe it makes for better science, whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, or simply a local volunteer. Feel free to contact me:
